Empty toolbar in compact view mode (IE9)

Jump to solution

I have installed Site Advisor 3.3.1.133 version in Compact view mode

When I active the complement, the empty toolbar appears .

In compact view mode it should not  appear!

My OS is Windows 7 Proffessional, 64 Bits and IE is 9.0.811.16421 RTM KB982861

There is some way to solve this problem!!!!!

Thanks

Dinz,  as I am already using SA 3.3.1.133 it has no effect.

However in IE9 I use the Menu toolbar as well as Google toolbar so can hide it almost out of sight at the end of one of those.  Click the image below to see where I have it.

Internal sources tell me that it is a known bug and should be recitifed in version 3.4 which isn't due out for another 4 months apparently.

Sorry I wish I had better news.

You should open a case with Technical Support Chat so the problem is registered.  I just checked on my IE9 and it's the same - only in Compact View.

Meanwhile I'll email someone I know to see if they are aware of it.

If you haven't yet installed SP1 for Windows 7 there is help with that here:  https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-2205

Please try the below step and let us know the status after upgrading Site advisor :

  1. If prompted click Yes or Allow and save the saSetup file to your desktop.
  2. Double-click the saUpgrade file.
  3. If prompted click Yes or Allow.
  4. Click Reinstall using recommended settings.
  5. Restart your computer & let me know the status of the tool bar.

In the meanwhile you may as well at least show the Menu bar and then that way you can 'almost' hide it at the end like I have done.  So at least then you don't have a totally useless space sitting on your desktop.

Sorry I didn't get a better answer, but these things take time.
