Differences between WOT and SiteAdvisor (branched from ZeroAccess thread)

How is WOT different from SiteAdvisory or is it like VirusScan with MalwareBytes protection?

Re: How do I keep catching ZeroAccess?

No WoT is simply a browser security tool like SiteAdvisor that works by input from all its users.   Go to their website for a proper explanation. http://www.mywot.com/

I use both.

Well in my mind it's better to be safe(er) than sorry.

Re: How do I keep catching ZeroAccess?

I would agree.. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.

I am going to test this out for our organization and suggest it's use if I find it worth while. As  someone who monitors employees internet activity... I need all the help I can get.

And no.. the budget does not allow for an electronic version of employee internet tracking nor do we want to appear to be the IS cops. So we manually audit when requested..  I don't make the rule... i just abide by them. That should tell you how far down on the scale I am   lol

I remember the meaning of 'pecking order' only too well from when I worked for a large Canadian corporation.

Good luck 😉
