I am trying to remove mcafee antivirus software form my laptop because i am sick of the constant pop up warnings. Even 10mins after a complete factory wipe your software pops up saying my pc is infected. Which it is not, because it hasnt even been online at that point.
Uninstalling your software leaves the webadviser crap still installed and it's not even visible in add remove programs.
I have also ran the mcafee removal tool and even now i am still being hijacked by your software.
I am sick of this crap getting in my way. I now have no choice but to factory wipe my laptop again and avoid your software completely.
very angry about the way your software has intruded and basically hijacked my laptop with constant pop up messages.
Absolute disgrace

Just what i expected, standard useless reply, as i already said webadvisor does not appear in add remove programs. Your software has been uninstalled leaving the webadvisor crap still running. Not even your removal tool gets rid of it.
Just want people to know how intrusive the software is and hopefully avoid it completely
The support link should be able to manually take out all reference of WA though I have found the mcpr tool worked OK for me. Problem is they need to remote too your PC and this not wanted by some. The guys are trustworthy but this your choice.
It is strange the infected warning after installing Windows did you install anything else. Adobe updates install a Mcafee security can plus which can be removed normally.
