Re: While clicking on a McAfee page recieving a blank page

This used to happen when people had beta version of Internet Explorer installed because the McAfee UI is actually an Internet Explorer page and is independent of whether or not your default browser is I.E..  If that's not the case then try the following and if that fails contact Technical Support, free by phone or online chat, via the link under Useful Links at the top of this page..

Some things to try courtesy of Support Technician jayadeepNR

Step 1:

Download IERegFix.bat and save it to your desktop:
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/IERegFix.bat

Locate IERegFix.bat on your desktop and right click on the file and select “Run as Administrator”.

Once launched, you will be presented with press any key to continue. To execute, press any key on your keyboard.
NOTE: This may take several minutes to complete.

When it has finished, you will see Action complete. Press any key to close. Press any key on your keyboard to close the IERegFix.bat.

Step 2:

Click on Start> In search option type cmd (Windows Vista users right click on it and run as administrator)>

Type regsvr32 jscript.dll > Hit Enter button > Click on OK

Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll > Hit Enter button > Click on OK

Step 3:

Please close all Internet Explorer windows.

(This may remove your favorite website saved in IE)

Open Control Panel >> Network and Internet >> Internet Options.

Click on General Tab and select Delete.. button and check “Preserve Fav. Website Data , Temp Internet Files and Cookies” and click on Delete button.

Now click on "Advanced" tab and then click on Reset >> Delete Personal Settings >> Reset >> Apply>> Ok.

Step 4:

Click the link below and save the file to your desktop:
http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/McPreInstall.e xe

Double-click the McPreInstall.exe.

Click Start button inside the Preinstall Tool.

Read the warning message and click OK to agree to the changes.

After the Preinstall Tool completes, click OK.

Click Close and restart your computer.

Is this the McAfee software interface we are talking about or web pages?   What browser is your default?

Re: While clicking on a McAfee page recieving a blank page

I had IE set to stop banner ads in another application, like this I got a blank panel for McAfee.

Do you have Content Advisor enabled in IE?

The desktop interface refers to your IE settings, so if this your problem....

Try:

Open IE

Go to Tools, Internet Options

Select the Content tab

Either Disable Content Advisor

or

Go to Settings then the General tab

Check the top box "Users can see websites that have no rating"

Hope this helps.

Hi vijay,

Please check if you have an updated version of Internet explore

In Inter explorer – Click on Help –Click on About Internet explore and check if it has a version and cipher strength number.

Else , click on Tools – Click on Windows update and install any available update for windows
