Virus scan log file location for Windows 8 and 10

Jump to solution

In Windows 7, log files are located at:

C:\ProgramData\McAfee\DesktopProtection

But where are they located in Windows 8, Windows 10, and in MACs?

Thanks!

Try open Mcafee and go to My Info tab at top and see security History and choose scans  for past 30 days info should be mentioned there

We're using Endpoint Security on Windows 10 and I found the logs here:

C:\ProgramData\McAfee\Endpoint Security\Logs

Hello @heckdapogi,

You will be able to find the McAfee logs in the below mentioned location,

%programdata%\mcafee\VirusScan

If Windows is installed in the C drive the location would be,

C:\programdata\mcafee\VirusScan

Please let us know why you are looking for this information and if you need technical assistance.

Regards,

Sundar

I looked in that location and there is no scan log. I did a full scan about a week ago and a win64/bitcoin miner was found and removed. Ebay is requiring me to send them the log file to prove that my laptop is clear of all viruses before it will unlock my ebay account.
