the file wanted.exe is a game executable, i had that game for over 3 months now and everything was running with no problem until last week sept 08 2009 when the real time scanner service started crashing on start up, security center was notifying me that my protection was disabled, i also found out that after 2 crashes the service doesn't restart.
the thing also crashes if i browse that game folder
i uninstalled all the Mcafee products i also used your Mcafee consumer removal tool and then reinstalled them but the problem still persists. I probably did that atleast 10 times ^_^

i also contacted tech support. they even escalated me to level 2 technician but they couldn't figure out what the problem was. tech just did start the service though
i could have done that on my own anyway
its been like over a week now and the thing still crashes i even used system restore but to no avail.

I also experienced this problem on my other pc a while back in the end of july but somehow i fixed it, too bad i didn't make notes of it
could this crash be related to visual C++? in what language is VirusScan coded?
i would really appreciate it if you can resolve the problem.
i already started looking at other security products i wish i didn't have to do this 😞
please if you can help fix this issue post a resolution here please
i realy like Mcafee products and i never had such a major problem with them
please help
