New Here, but really need help.
I run a full scan, and on item 79711 the scan freezes. I can not get the full path of the file but it looks something like this:
C:\Windows\... \divasx.inf_da624dab\lte_protm.am
My software is up to date. Can anyone Help?
I am also running Windows Vista - Home Premium

Took me a while to find it, and here is the file path:
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\divasx.inf_da624dab\te_protm.am
I tried to scan just this file, and same thing. . . freezes

Message was edited by: kfpanda on 11/17/10 12:01:18 PM CSTTry this out - Right click on the file (te_protm.am), select Send to> Compressed (zipped) folder. Once it's done delete the old file which is not compressed. Perform a scan again and let us know the status

I tried as you suggested. Windows froze up in the process. I also tried to scan using Windows Deffender, freezes up on same file. I scaned using Malwarebytes, and I am able to run a full scan. I'm sure it is not a threat, but would like to be able to run a full scan using McAfee.
