Temporarily disabling virus protection

Jump to solution

I want to install Photoshop, and it says to disable virus protection.  I cant find anything about it in the "Help" screens.  How do I do this, and then turn it back on?  Thanks!

Double-click the taskbar icon to open SecurityCenter

Click Advanced Menu (bottom)

Click Configure (left)

Click Computer & Files (top left)

You can disable VirusScan in the right-hand module and tell it for how to long.

Disabling virus protection at any time carries a great risk and is done at your own risk. Stating the obvious, I would minimally physically disconnect from any network/the internet and run a full On-Demand Scan afterwards.
