System goes into power saver during virus scan

My system goes into power saver mode during full system scan and the scan pauses until the system wakes up.  I am using Windows 7.

How do I keep my system awake until the scan finishes other than by changing my power save modes?  I'd like to find a way that the virus scan keeps the system from shutting down.

Re: System goes into power saver during virus scan

Check the Advanced Power Options under Control Panel/System & Maintenance/Power Options.   You'll have to change it so that it stays awake long enough.
