Agreed but we delete it or the  Mcafee admin will. As you said it was on topic humour was actually off topic and unacceptable here.

Hi ,

Are you still facing this Issue (Error while initiating Custom Scan). If so may I try a couple of troubleshooting steps and see if it works?

Yes and no, I resolved the error by migrating to a fresh build as described in the OP.

But I still have the original system disk just as it was when we worked on the McAfee Boot Delay Start Service hang and later the Custom Scan Errors. If I have time this weekend, I’ll swap this original system disk back and apply the McAfee updates since then testing for resolution as dmurphy reported and give you the result.
