Hi when I try and start any scan Quick, Full or Custom it appears to start but then hangs. I have run Virtual Technician, I have done a complete uninstall using the removal tool and two fresh installs but still the same problem.
Tech support say they think it's a Windows permissions problem - whatever that is.
Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

Hi thanks for your help. I followed the instructions but that didn't fix the problem. In the end I used the McAfwe Removal Tool (again) and then manually removed the leftover registry items that related to McAfee. After a restart I then installed Security Center fresh and after an update all has been well.

This issue has occurred in the past. Please try this ; VirusScan stops scanning at 98% or 99% complete

Quite often doing a Uninstall/Reinstall does indeed resolve such issues.
