Scan is not progressing

I have just loaded McAfee onto my Mac (OS Sonoma 14.2.1). and am running my first full scan. After running 36 hours it still only says "Initializing scan", there is no progress shown on the progress bar, and beside "Currently Scanning:", it shows nothing. It appears to be doing nothing other than the blue slider is moving back and forth on the progress bar line. Needless to say I have stopped the scan. Please advise.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Kindly update the version of your McAfee or uninstall and reinstall if issue persist. We request you to kindly share the McAfee version.

Thank you Edward ... I have uninstalled and am now trying to re-install. The installer is asking me for my serial number and I am unable to locate the one that was originally sent to me. Can you please email it again?

Please consider this matter completed. I have contacted Support and a rep resolved this and a few other issues
