Hi pwaldron,
You are in total control of McAfee using your CPU. The problem arises when another application uses more CPU simultaneously. Please note that Anti Virus applications are designed to use available resources for the best security.

Can you please post in this thread when that modification gets released? Do you have a rough time frame of when it will be released? couple weeks? months? The sooner the better
Cheers,
"Some time this year" was all I've been told.
In all honesty, I never have any issues with "Slow Start-up" time. Generally, I reboot my machine every several days. I have always allowed Windows and my applications to fully load anyway....There is no "Dire Straight" that I need to begin computing in 3 or 4 minutes anyway.
In addition, seems to me that "Turning off" the Start-up Scan (Of programs) attempting to load at Start-up.
Would be counterproductive, in my honest opinion. That,s the sole purpose of having it, isn,t it?
Just my (2) cents...I,ll leave my settings to continue to "Scan" at start-up.
I might add that my "Start-up" settings have never reset upon restarting. Always remain the same....
Actually...I meant for this post to be in response to "Romank"
Sorry, Ex_Brit
Regards,
CatDaddy
