My Real-Time Scanning won't stay on, and I cannot run Scans.

This started happening on 7/14/2020. I cannot run a scan because when I click run scan, whether it be a Full or Quick, nothing happens. It loads for 100 milliseconds, then stops.

That is only for the manual scans however. My Real-Time Scanning won't even turn on. The blue "Turn on" button reverts back after I click on it and the red exclamation mark triangle is always on. I don't know what to do.

This all started happening after I downloaded a wallpaper off of Reddit. I think I have a virus or malware inside of my PC.

Everything has been updated. Windows, Drivers, Apps, McAfee, etc. I have also uninstalled and installed McAfee 15 times. I have used the MVT, MCRP, etc, tools. Nothing has solved my problem.

 

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!

Hi @Joeseph 

Please follow the below article and look for any incompatible software conflicting with McAfee causing this issue and remove if any Third party application present on computer.

I do not have any incompatible AV/Apps. I have tried basically everything that has been offered on all of these forums.

I actually have found a folder in ProgramData that is labeled "Avast Software" but I do not have AVAST AV installed. Any ideas?
