McShield.exe turning to csrss.exe with high CPU usage

Anyone has ideas why my mcshield.exe constantly turning into csrss.exe and while this is happening my CPU goes crazy and my Laptop Fan has to kick-in to cool things down. In some instances the CPU gets to 100% with core temp reaching the same and the system shuts down.

Spoke with McAfee Support and they asked to to do a reinstall and no joy. I still have this problem.

Ran adaware and no spyware. also verified the csrss.exe size and publisher and all is good there.

Any ideas?

Sorry for the delayed response, But do you still face issue with McAfee? If yes, Please clarify

How old is the computer? Did we make any recent changes to the system (Software\hardware)?

What is the Operating system you run with (Windows XP, Vista , Windows 7...)?

I'm having the same problem. WIndows XP. Recently installed Mcafee software. After booting up, I get a message that says "could not find

"c:\windows\config\csrss.exe."

Thanks for any help!!
