Thanks, Selvan,
As reported in my earlier post (now deleted) your process worked for me.
Regards
Jay
Selvan,
The uninstall/reinstall seems to have worked for me, whereas the simple update/forcing an update didn't.
Thanks.
My engine version is now 1725.0 dated 11/30/2013. Does that mean I should have the fix?

Glad you two are OK and Jay sorry about the posts going AWOL, you weren't the only one, myself included, when I tried to restore some sanity to this thread.

Yes, you should have it, it was released with the 1722 update. If not OK then follow the steps suggested in the last few posts.
Hi Ex_Brit,
Mant thanks to you and the others who have contributed to finding the solution to what seems to have been an intractable problem.
Your patience and support is appreciated.
All is good here. iTunes preferences are sticking and so far as I am concerned, the case can be closed.
Again, many thanks.
Jay
Thank you very much for the kind words. Much appreciated considering the vitriol we encountered over on the Apple Forums thread.
Mine are sticking too...looks good. Some people don't seen to be so lucky, not sure why.
Good luck 😉
