Is it possible to disable Mcafee?

Hello there!

I must download something from the web, however, mcafee corrupts the file, mistaking on of the components with a virus. I'm pretty sure it is not a virus, and i gotta download it. Can somebody tell me how to disable the anti virus? this is being really bothersome.

thanks

Re: Is it possible to disable Mcafee?

You can however there is no guarantee that it wont remove it again once installed.  Check this out for guidelines on how to deal with that:  https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

oh i see... but there is still one problem:

it only corrupts the download. Mcafee does not inform anything about it, so there is no code for me to post. Is ther still somehing tha i can do?

it feels a little powerless and kinda sad the fact i can't disable the antivirus in my own computer x.x

Well you can still use the instructions there for disabling McAfee can't you?   Isn't that helping?
