Some of these alerts can be removed in Informational alerts option of settings
Hi @JB3,
Whenever McAfee scans the computer it gives an alert about the scan result when it is completed and there is no option to turn off the automatic scan alerts. You can opt to reduce the frequency of scan to weekly.

I switched from Norton to McAfee to get away from unsolicited advertising. This is a why I spent money to stop viruses on my computer. This is a virus, McAfee should reconsider their stance of promoting viruses - unsolicited software running on our PC's..
Hi @JB3.
Sorry again for the inconvenience caused. The alert that comes after running a scan is the prompt message telling you the result on how many files McAfee scanned and was there any threat removed. But as you say it is virus, we would definitely check about it. Can you please share us the screenshot of the automatic scan alerts that you are referring to so that we can proceed further?

That was my only option/comment seems no way unless the mods come up with an offer. Can you post a pic of what you see please and I will see what I can do on my PC.
