Help: Excessive activity of on-access scanner

My on-access scanner seems to be going nuts.  It has blocked over 1000 file actions in the last hour and over 6000 in the last day.  It has also blocked over 200 registry actions in the last hour and over 1000 in the last day. I was hoping someone could give me some insight into what's going on and possibly what I can do to fix it.  I don't even know what file and registry actions are!  Please help!

Re: Help: Excessive activity of on-access scanner

Hi,

"Registry actions" means some program tries to access registry on your machine in a suspicious way. "File actions" - it tries to modify or delete files.

Can you go into a safe mode and run on-demand scanner?
