Not really. While the tech had the system , he ran a full scan and it went as it should and completed in just under 2 hours.  No cause was noted. When I try another full scan on 10/30 , will see if it is super slow still or normal.

Ok will see what mine takes. Have not done a full scan in ages always scheduled

OK 1st and second go after 1 hr jammed up at 130000 files same place. I uninstalled McAfee and reinstalled it using both the windows removal way and McAfee's MCPr and it ran smoothly finishing in 1hr 36mins

3 drives

1 ssd 250Gb 156Gb used

1 normal sata disk 2Tb 10Tb used

1 data drive sata 3Tb 1.5TB used this full of zipped backups of drives

Will redo tomorrow and post in this post the result

As a test , I ran a full scan tonight. No changes to the system. It worked as it should. Took approx. 2.5 hours which is more like it used to. Nothing like the last few where it was still going at 75% after 5 hours. I have a hunch that a VS update in the last 6 weeks or so solved it.
