I think the same. For me, Mcafee is no longer keeping his software updated. I don't take any chances and I removed it.

I am having the same issue however, the full scan stops at 22%. This has occurred on my previous version of McAfee AntiVirus Protection (2023) and now with my new McAfee AntiVirus Protection version installed 12-4-23. I have done the process with the McAfee removal tool (the complete steps including restarting and reinstalling the McAfee AntiVirus Protection software) with both versions with no change. Please help. 

I have a desktop computer with Windows 11. I have installed McAfee products for years on my desktop computers and never experienced this issue until October/November 2023.

What version are you showing? Scan locking issues should have been fixed after R113 upgrade.

That version should be OK. If you do not have another scanner installed best to contact support as I mentioned. Though stopping at 22% after  reinstall would not be a clash of scanners.

Does it stop at the same file

No scan stops at different files and then locks up the computer.
