Mine jammed up at 99% on a new install. A couple days ago I got a big update as well as clear temp, prefetch and %temp% files and it now works. Might not be for everyone but I was told this week that a fix is supposed to come in next update.

I also ran sfc /scannow at a command prompt in admin mode so unsure what helped.

Release 1.112.340 contains two fixes to address this; it is being rolled out now, but will take sometime to get fully deployed.

If you continue to see this issue, please check your about box and report back if you are seeing it on 1.12.340 or later.

This helped me too... wish it was higher up in the google menu I get when trying to find solutions. Literally nothing else worked, including downloading their "removal tool".

like why tf would I have to download another program of yours to remove a program?

I'm seeing this problem with Total Protection Version 1.13.209 releases 16.0 R113. Scan stops at 35% and computer looks up requiring a restart.

I got tired of the games. Let my subscription lapse and uninstalled the mess.

You would think someone from McAfee would be interested in this issue and respond as to whether they are working to repair it. I wonder if a full scan does not complete, if I'm really protected from viruses.
