Found Proudbrowser on my pc but a McAfee scan did not remove it

Hi

Almost by accident I noticed "ProudBrowser" installed by viewing control panel. It had been installed today. I checked the internet and it said it was a very dangerous malware.

I have LiveSafe (active subcription) on a Lenovo Idea Pad with windows 10. I requested a McAfee scan but it found nothing. I found the ProudBrowser folder in program files and requested a scan of that folder but nothing was found. I clicked on the exe file in the folder and requested a scan but nothing happened. (My subscription is up to date)

So I uninstalled it (successfully) from Control Panel. My PC is ok (they told me to check the windows HOST file and it was OK)

My question is the following: Is this a dangerous malware. If so why didnt mcafee pick it up

Thanx
