Files missing after scan, but not found in quarantine

I connected my external hard drive to a computer that had a virus, when I connected to my home computer later (with McAfee) it scanned the drive and detected a trojan (Generic) and viruses (Rotinom and Fujacks).  I watched the McAfee scan move through all my files but now the very same files cannot be found on the drive nor in quarantine.  Unless I am looking in the wrong place, but I only find the files that were related to the virus in my quarantine.

Like most people, I really want the files back since I had stupidly only partially backed up the contents.

Windows 7

McAfee Security Center - version 10.5

Virus Scan - version 14.5

Is there a McAfee support hotline (even if I have to pay) that can help me?

I need my files restored and they were there until McAfee's scan so I think it's safe to assume McAfee removed/hid them during the scan.
