That is strange I assume you are noting the time scheduled scan actually starts? With 2011 it can be 2hrs after set time due to the issues with the idle timer feature.

I had that on a full scan and it had a solid cpu light yet task manager showed system was idle. It would seem like the computer was hosed and at a standstill. I turned realtime scanning off and on until it took the icon out of my toolbar. Then I ran the scan in background so it wouldn't eat up all my resources. That did not help, so I am trying custom scans without doing zip files and just one drive rather than the two. I'm not sure if there is a virus slowing scans down or what, but it is not peculiar to McAfee.
