Can't remove shlres.dll and mcvsshl.dll when attempting to delete McAfee

I deleted all the McAfee files using the Add/remove programs list. I then searched for all files and folders that had anything to do with McAfee and could delete all but one folder. It is  C:\Program Files\McAfee.com\VSO and contains shlres.dll and mcvsshl.dll which I cannot delete. When i try to do so, I get an error message that says "Cannot delete: Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is no longer in use." I can't see anything that is using these files. What should I do to get rid of them?? Thanks.

Re: Can't remove shlres.dll and mcvsshl.dll when attempting to delete McAfee

Hi

Please run the removal tool from here here (this will remove your existing mcafee products)

NOTE: This tool is not compatible with Microsoft Windows 98 or ME.
