App tried to connect to suspicious website?

Jump to solution

Hello, I recently got a notification that my Smartbytes app, which came with my computer, tried connecting to a suspicious website and that this could be a hacker. It said it blocked the connection. I have since deleted the Smartbytes app from my computer. I ran a scan and it didn't find anything. I also turned on intrusion detection after this happened. Should I still be concerned about this? Should I be concerned a hacker might be in my computer? Are there other steps I should take?
