Any proactive whitelisting topics allowed here?

Hi there,

I am just wondering if McAfee has any proactive whitelisting program so businesses can submit their application in advance to be whitelisted in prior to their release?

I just want to ensure this before making any posts.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

Found it:  https://secure.mcafee.com/apps/mcafee-labs/dispute-form.aspx?region=us

Synoandy if that's not the right one please advise and we can move this to another section perhaps for better attention.

There is also this: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB66642&pmv=print

Although those links lead you to the Enterprise area, obtaining clearance for your software would have to be done through them, and then the Consumer software would automatically be covered.

For anyone reading this who simply is finding that legitimate software is being detected incorrectly there is another procedure and I wrote a document here that explains what to do:  https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

Re: Any proactive whitelisting topics allowed here?

Hi Ex_Brit,

Thanks so much for the prompt assistance.

Actuall I've checked the links you posted prior to the registration to the community.

The links seem only give instruction after a false-positive is detected, instead of a a proactive whitelisting action to prevent the occurance of false positive.

Some proactive whitelisting program I've participated in with other brands, I can submit the software prior to the release to either FTP or via forms.

I am actually looking for this kind of mechenissm with McAfee.

Re: Any proactive whitelisting topics allowed here?

For Enterprise customers, McAfee offers the GetClean program to pro-actively whitelist your software files.

If you’re a developer of sofware but not a McAfee customer, please reach out via PM with your offical contact details and we'll work out still be able to use GetClean.
