Hi guys,
Sorry I know this has been posted before, but none of the solutions have worked for me.
I can't open any downloaded files because of "virus scan failed". Does anyone know tricks to fix this? Or is it easier to uninstall the software and get a better antivirus software (if someone can recommend one without all the bugs McAfee has I'll be so grateful!)
I've tried deleting the Web Advisor folder. It doesn't work as it always says it is open in another program (even if I've just restarted the computer and not touched anything).
I've tried adjusting settings in McAfee.
I don't think contacting McAfee to get them to do the reinstall is an option for me either, as they simply won't respond to me. I've tried contacting McAfees Online chat for help but have never gotten a reply from them and it always times out. I've left my email on their chat begging for a reply and for some help but they simply won't respond to any of the requests I've put in over the last month or so. Has anyone else had this problem? Do they have an email or phone number we can contact? Their service is so unprofessional.... would love to hear tips on how people have convinced them to reply their queries!
Try reinstalling web advisor

Hi there,
As stated earlier, I am not able to uninstall Web Advisor. I have tried deleting it from Chrome and restarting my computer, but if I try to delete I get an error message stating this is not possible as it is opened in another program.
If there is a trick to getting McAfee stuff off my computer, I'd love to hear it.
Maybe reboot and uninstall Mcafee fully as per
rebooting between each part and reinstall it fully if you wish
