True Key versus SafeKey

Jump to solution

During the installation of McAfee LiveSafe I saw a link to True Key and assumed True Key was the password manager that I should use.

Now I have discovered that there is another password manager named SafeKey from McAfee.

I have a display issue with True Key which doesn't seem to have a solution.

I'm considering uninstalling True Key.

My question: Is SafeKey the recommended password manager from McAfee?

Hi @Itd

I would suggest using Truekey since it has far more advanced features than Safekey. Some of the remarkable features include Face Recognition, Finger Print authentication, Multi device authentication etc., Please note that Truekey also protects your Android and iOS devices.

True Key is a separate Intel product.  SafeKey is the one that goes with the regular consumer products.

But things are changing so stay tuned.

I should have expanded on that, True Key is part of some products, but it is an identity manager, whereas SafeKey is more of a password protection application.

To be honest, despite the years I've been here, the current array of sound-alike products that Intel's takeover of McAfee has incurred, if you are not sure (I am not), it may be best to contact Customer Service by phone, link below.
