Read earlier posts on contacting Technical Support
I did read the earlier posts. But this problem is still occurring. I posted with the hope that McAfee would see that this problem has not been fixed.
They rarely come here to read these, ,mostly it's peer-to-peer support in this community.
Best to contact Technical Support, it's free by phone or online chat and linked below.

I've had All Access Total Protection for years now and the flagship product before that. This is worrying! My SafeKey has been doing the same thing for months now, even after 2 complete fresh OS installs. The lack of a fix is so worrying and even though I renewed my subscription a month or two ago, that's it for me, I'm out. Later today I'm uninstalling everything McAfee on all my devices and switching products.
There is zero excuse for having packages with bugs like this on such an expensive subscription based product. What else isn't working or getting updates?
Technical Support is your best approach as stated in my previous post.
According to the sales pages, Safe Key has been replaced by True Key, a more comprehensive tool.
Backup your passwords as per the next post.
You could selectively uninstall Safe Key only via Control Panel > Programs and Features
If it isn't listed separately click the main McAfee item and you should be offered the option to uninstall only certain components.
True Key should than be offered in SecurityCenter > Navigation > Features.
If not, uninstall all, reboot if asked.
Then use the MCPR cleanup tool and reboot.
Reinstall from your online account using the custom method to only install the components you need and want.
There's a page about True Key here: https://www.truekey.com/
Hi All,
It would be ideal if we export all the Passwords to a csv file before removing Safekey. In this way we can keep a track of all our old passwords before we transition to Truekey. Below KB articles may come in handy
Thank you for that suggestion Selvan Can be very helpful for future reference.
Thank you Selvan, these products, backing them up and the changes mentioned above have never been communicated to us Mods as far as I recall.
Thanks Peter, I cannot recall either.
