Re: PC always freezes and then restarts automatically due to this error which I found in event viewe

Unfortunately, the PC still freezes and restarts after using the MCPR tool.

At the same time, I discovered something else. The event viewer showed True Key error right after I restart/start my PC. In other words, I don't think the True Key error is the one causing the random freezes and restarts.

I googled and found some other info on other sites. I believed it was hardware problem which caused the random freezes and restarts.

Anyway, I would still like to know how to get rid of the True Key error too.

Re: PC always freezes and then restarts automatically due to this error which I found in event viewe

Good morning,

I am not sure why the event viewer is still showing True Key as it should have been wiped out using the MCPR tool.

Having said that, in order to confirm that no trace are left on your system, I would suggest you to reach out to our support team that might need to remote in your system to ensure the software is completely removed.

When you get to this link, scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page and click on the “contact support” link, then click on “technical assistance”, click on PC or MAC and this will take you to the contacting support either by chat or phone.

Thanks,

Marc D.

I need help with this too

"The password notification DLL C:\Program Files\TrueKey\McAfeeTrueKeyPasswordFilter failed to load with error 126. Please verify that the notification DLL path defined in the registry, HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\Notification Packages, refers to a correct and absolute path (<drive>:\<path>\<filename>.<ext>) and not a relative or invalid path. If the DLL path is correct, please validate that any supporting files are located in the same directory, and that the system account has read access to both the DLL path and any supporting files. Contact the provider of the notification DLL for additional support. Further details can be found on the web at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=245898."
