Re: Backup of Safe Notes in TrueKey

Jump to solution

Hi there,

Do you have any other system that could be used alternatively to tried to export your safe notes?

Thanks,

Marc D.

The problem occurs in two systems: Win 7 Professional and Win10.  I don't have a 3rd system.

Ok so logins are backed up correctly but you get no safe notes or wallet items, correct?

Thanks,

Marc D.

Per a previous post in this chain:

  • Logins: Being backed-up correctly.

  • Safe Notes:  I have 42 Safe Notes and the export has 42 rows with "note" in col. A.  so the Export function is aware of the presence of Safe Notes.  However, what's missing in the exported file is each Safe Note's data , i.e., all columns for these 42 rows are blank.

  • Wallet:  Same situation as Safe Notes.  I have two Wallet entries in TK of type "Passport".  The Export function creates 2 rows in the export file with "Passport" in col. A but the rest of the columns for these 2 rows are blank.

This is very strange indeed, because the fact that export works for your logins tells me the functionality is not broken but for some reason it is just not adding the Safe notes/Wallet data in the exported file.

I will continue to investigate this and will get back to you when I have more.

Thanks,

Marc D.

Good morning,

Quick question, you are not trying to export immediately after you logged in to your True Key account right?

It could be performance design to avoid parsing large data while loading the dashboard.

Thanks,

Marc D.

No, the problem occurs long after logging-in to TK.  Just tried it again, same issue, have been logged in TK for about 2 hours.

Please try this workaround:

When you have this issue, hit hard refresh (CTRL + F5) to fetch all the data, then you can try to export.

It should be having the Safe Notes and Wallet items.

Thanks,

Marc D.

Glad it did, it is a workaround but at least your data integrity is respected.

Thanks,

Marc D.
