won't download

Hi there. I purchased Total Protection and it won't download and install properly. When I open the installer after download, it immediately says to restart computer but then nothing ever happens after - nothing has been installed. And I try to download again, etc and same thing over and over. I tried using the Installer Helper and it worked to a point, and then after 20 minutes of work said, "Unable to install, contact technical support." I don't have time for a long phone call. Any ideas to help? Thank you.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please follow the steps below to install McAfee,

  • Go to Run [Windows Key + R]
  • Enter shell:common startup
  • Delete the file $Mcreboot
  • Restart the computer
  • Install McAfee

Let us know if you are able to perform the above steps and able to install McAfee.
