We stopped something dangerous

Much like others, the popup "We stopped something dangerous" tells me ABSOLUTELY nothing. 

I'm a 35 year IT Professional, so I want to know what's going on. How do I determine what happened, is there a log entry somewhere?

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. For log information Open McAfee click on my protection, scroll down check under security history and security report.

Note : You can filter the Items that you want to see and filter on weekly/monthly basis

I'm at a loss for words on this issue . The the log entry is:

The PC tried to connect to UDP port 56085 on your PC without your permission. 

The source IP address is your own DNS server.

I've walked through several hundred of the entries and they are the same message with various UDP ports.  This is how DNS works, it opens a local ephemeral or temporary port (56085 in this case), sends the query to the DNS server on port 53 ( in this case). The DNS server resolves the query and sends the response back to the IP and port that made the request.

I viewed network traces with the McAfee firewall off & on. These are standard DNS query & responses and should NOT be blocked.

Please advise.
