Virus scan detects rust toolchain executables like cargo.exe as threats

Jump to solution

Hi there,

the McAfee Total Protection Virus scan detects the development tools of the Rust Programming Language toolchain as threats and moves them into quarantine. However, this are false positives as the software is installed from a trusted source - the Rust Programming Language origin location.

Is there any whitelisting of those applications / executables possible or the Virus Scan could be adjusted to not continue to report those files as threats?

Thanks in advance.
