Suspect file removed

I've an application, in W11 from Green Tree (YouTube Downloader) for personal use and recently I've found a problem, McAfee removes the .exe file indicating a potential threat (Suspect!1c7b759bc2fd) quarantaining the file.

I've been in contact with Green Tree and they informed that this is a False Positive and working with you to resolve the issue, and, as a workaround, they suggested me to put the file in a list to avoid scanning. I did it three days ago and today, again, the file is deleted and quarantained.

I've a big doubt: Is really a FALSE POSITIVE and you are working on it?

Re: Suspect file removed

Hi @joseponce

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

McAfee will detect suspicious files if the certificate is not valid. When we try to download any apps outside app store McAfee will initially check for the same and blocks if file found harmful. Please go through below link for raising false positive request.

False Positive Request
