After a recent update I started seeing [SPAM] added to the subject line of a newsletter for an organization I belong to and have received for years with no problem. These emails now hace "X-MSKTag: [SPAM]" added to the header as well as the tag for the subject line.
I use Thunderbird latest version (maintained with auto-update currently "78.6.0 (32-bit)"). There is a "McAfee Anti-Spam" sub-folder in the primary account folder WHICH IS NOT "Local Folders", the Tbird default email folders I do not use.
In Tbird menu, Tools->Add-ons Extensions tab there is no entry for McAfee. I believe there had been before I had to completely remove and re-install McAfee for other issues last year. There is also no McAfee related buttons, menu or context menu options etc. which I can use to designate this newsletter to McAfee as "Not SPAM".
BUGS:
- In McAfee Total Protection Settings->Anti-Spam->Email Processing, "Move email to the Anti-Spam folder is checked, but instead the email remains in the inbox.
- In McAfee Total Protection Settings->Anti-Spam->Anti-Spam Toolbar, the boxes for both Outlook and Thunderbird are checked, but no McAfee anti-spam toolbar appears in TBird.
Please forward these bug reports to the development team for fix or, if McAfee Total Protections is not fully compatible with Thunderbird v 78, advise me so I can turn off McAfee anti spam and move to a product that is compatible with Thunderbird.
