Outlook 365 cannot sent emails with smtp port 465

Hello,

I am using outlook 365 . I have a Gmail account and i am trying to send emails through outlook using imap smtp port 465.

When "Mcafee Total Protection" is deactivated i can send emails normally from outlook and receive.

When Mcafee is activated i cannot send emails but i can receive.

How can i fix this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Xavier

Re: Outlook 365 cannot sent emails with smtp port 465

Hi @Xavier2

We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please perform the steps below and update us the outcome.

Enable Mailserver SMTP port in Firewall settings.

Open McAfee > Click firewall> Ports and services> Enable SMTP Mail server and check issue status.

Re: Outlook 365 cannot sent emails with smtp port 465

The only smtp port listed in firewall settings is port 25.  There is no option to enable port 465. My bt connect email won't connect to outlook either for sending messages - another smtp server which runs on port 587.  It is so frustrating.  How do i fix this?  I have a brand new pc and can't use it properly.
