Installation Failed: Module Core

Hi;

My installation failed with the following message:

Sorry - we couldn't install your McAfee protection. The following components failed to install: 

Module Core

I tried everything...Windows 11 is up to date, Preinstall tool, cleared temp files and deleted files from c:/program files/program files x86/program data. Tried again same error. 

Running Windows 11 Home, version 21H2, OS Build 22000.675

Processor: Apple M1, System type 64-bit operating system, Parallels ARM Virtual Machine

Please advise on my situation. Thank You.

Hi @Win11user 

Kindly start installation after performing below steps:

  1. Download the Pre-Install Tool.
    NOTE: Save the file to a temporary location, such as your desktop.
  1. Double-click the Pre-Install_Tool.exe file, and follow the prompts.
  2. Read the warning message, and click OK to agree to the changes.
  3. After the Preinstall Tool completes:
    1. Click OK.
    2. Click Close.
    3. Restart your computer.

Hi,

I downloaded the Pre-Install Tool (Solution 1) and followed your instructions.

Tried again. Installation failed; same error (Module Core).

Watched the Youtube video from Document ID: TSI02268 and followed steps in

Solution 2 Enabling the Administrator Account - installation failed; same error

Solution 3 Run the MCPR Tool - installation failed; same error. 

Please advise next steps. Thank you.

I already installed McAfee on my other Dell, which is identical. 

My computer is new and a Dell Inspiron running Qualcom Snapdragon 8cx gen 2. And I purchased McAfee Premium Individual tat covers all my computers.

In other words I purchased 2 identical Dells and see no reason why there is a installation issue.

I ran the tool but the same error repeats, installation cannot continue. 

What do you suggest I do to complete installation.
