Home network listings

I changed the name of two of my computers on my network. Now I have 2 computers with the same name showing on the McAfee Protect home network, My computer and another computer on the network. The information about the computers are correct. Just the name of one of them is not correct. How do I correct that without reinstalling McAfee?

Hi @lawp,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please perform the below steps and update us the outcome.

1. Please uncheck access protection from McAfee general settings and try updating manually.
2. Kindly re-check the dialog box of Acess protection after updating McAfee.

After performing the above steps, kindly check under home network.

Hi @Allwyn_GI,

I unchecked the access protection. Tried manual update, but that just came back with you have the latest updates. I then went to home network, but nothing changed. I then clicked on my router, and then clicked refresh list and all items in the list refreshed and the device was properly named. Then when back to general setting and checked access protection.  All good now.
