Alert Viewer Problem has returned in spite of uninstalling and running MCRP

Uninstalled and ran MCRP, and I only made it a day and a half before the problem returned.  Don't care to troubleshoot anymore.  Can't believe McAfee's reponse time on an aknowledged issue of this level.  I switched back to McAfee over a decade ago, and am uninstalling today.  I know Microsoft's security software has improved greatly in recent years.  Will miss McAfee's ability to control program access on access attempt though.

Re: Alert Viewer Problem has returned in spite of uninstalling and running MCRP

Hi @_j_ ,

Greetings from McAfee.

We regret the inconvenience caused.

McAfee is aware of the issue and we are working on the fix. As a work around we request you to change the McAfee Firewall settings as below and update us the outcome.

  • open McAfee Firewall
  • Click Traffic Controller
  • Select Smart Access
  • Click apply
  • Reboot PC

Regards,

Kumar

Re: Alert Viewer Problem has returned in spite of uninstalling and running MCRP

Those are the default settings and what I was using after reinstall and w/ MCRP.  If you read my post you would see that *I have nothing to test on any longer.*  I am removing McAfee from machines as they present with the issue.  Don't know if I will consider using McAfee again after the issue is fixed or not.
