Reinstall

My Total Protection wouldn't update, so I uninstalled it. Now I can't reinstall it. After multiple tries, it always stops at 41%. I used the Preinstall tool and the Uninstall tool. Nothing works.

for doing a reinstall you could use this article;

normal way i use myself is ;

1 use Windows programs and features in Control Panel to remove McAfee Livesafe and Webadvisor. reboot the computer

2 download and run MCPR the removal tool  to clean up most of the remaining fiiles and registry entries. (you can download from above page)

when done do again a reboot.

3. update Windows itself before doing a new install of mcafee and reboot.

4. download the new mcafee installer from your account and proceed with the new installation.

normal the pre-install tool is not needed

hopefully this will fix it.

i would suggest you contact mcafee live support.

you can visit this link; https://service.mcafee.com

go to the middle of the site and on the right side there you can click on contact support.

a new page will open where you can click for technical support ect.

best is on working days during office hours for chat or phone assistance.
