where is the trust list

McAfee has recently started quarantining programs that are not viruses or malware. Is it a way to add this to a trust list? Most avs allow you to do this. I've been seeing that, mcafee is having a lot of false alarms.

RE: where is the trust list

We have been asking for the reintroduction of that ability for years to no avail unfortunately. You can only do it if VirusScan labels something as a PUP (Possibly Unwanted Program).

See this sticky on how to deal with it in the meanwhile: http://community.mcafee.com/showthread.php?t=228162

Hello logan600,

Please send those false detected files to McAfee for further human analysis, regarding the detection of clean file, well McAfee is one of the top Antivirus with it's revolutionary Artemis technology, the database is huge and it may generate little errors, so you can help Mcafee to understand the situtation of falsely detected file better by submission, well Artemis database automatically gets corrected extremely fast if they catch clean file..
