security centre wont fix a problem

on the protection staus it says that my computer is not fully protected. when i try to resolve this problem by clicking on fix then it does not fix the problem. The things that need fixing are the computer & files and the E-mail and IM. what do i need to do to fix them?:confused:

I also got the "your computer is not protected" message last week. Each time I would use the "fix it" option, all would be good. Had this scenario happen several times daily. I did the online chat with the McAfee techs and they said it was caused by a recent update. Was asked to identify my DAT version and then was told that the next update (in 6 hours ) would have the fix.

Been a week or so and all is good??

If you haven't already, try doing an update. You'll have to re-boot when it's finished.

There must be a more detailed messages than just this. Does it say that the DAT (virus signature) files are out of date?
