help with playing games & virus program

I am unable to install several big fish games because McAfee identifies them as trojan or worm. Bfg suggest adding 3 applications (bfgclient.exe,bfgprocess.exe,& bfgames services.exe) to program files. I ran mcafee virtual tech and contacted mcafee through that site but they had me go to avert lab which was nothing more that reporting virus information. I really don't know much about pc's but would really appreciate some help if anyone could tell me if this problem could be fixed in extremly simple laymans terms. I just want to be able to play the games i have allready paid for.

RE: help with playing games & virus program

You will temporarily have to disable VirusScan, before importing those, report them to Avert labs and then, once an extra.dat is hopefully sent to you, which would then be included in the general updates for everyone, it will stop.

If they are already in quarantine they should be a way to submit them directly but the manual way is best.

From what you said I'm not sure that you have done that.

How to disable VirusScan:

Double-click the taskbar icon to open SecurityCenter
Click Advanced Menu (bottom left)
Click Configure (left)
Click Computer & Files (top left)
VirusScan can be disabled in the right-hand pane and you can also tell it for how long to remain that way.

Send a file to Avert for analysis:
http://vil.nai.com/vil/submit-sample.aspx
or
https://www.webimmune.net/default.asp
or
Email file to: [EMAIL="virus_research@avertlabs.com"]virus_research@avertlabs.com
When submitting samples via E-mail all samples must be packaged in a .ZIP file. When creating this .ZIP file, it is important to understand that the .ZIP can be no more than 3 megabytes in size and can contain no more than 30 files. Additionally, any .ZIP file created must be password-protected using the password "infected" (minus the ""). Failure to follow these guidelines will cause your submission to be rejected.

If they reply that it IS infected then immediately reply to that email appealing that decision nd saying why. Make sure that the header remains intact.
