McAfee has been telling me for two weeks that my spam filtering has not updated in the past seven days. I tried chat and can't get past the 'checking application' window. I get an error msg that basically tells me that I'm not connected to the internet. I am online.
Thanx,
FOG Mk
I'm using Secutity Center 2010
Is the dat for virus scan showning as current?
Try running MVT the virtual technician.
Click on useful links /technical support and run the MVT program. Note the session Id number
Also consider resetting Internet Explorer.

Check whether the computer’s date & time are correct
Can you provide some additional information like,
What type of internet connection you use , (dsl/wireless) ?
Have you made any recent changes for the computer ?
Do you have any other security software installed ?
Thanks,
Dinesh K
I use earthlink dial-up. tht only recent changes have been to upgrade to Win 7 from Win Vista and to upgrade from Security Center 2009 to Security Center 2010. No other security software.

RVT and it identified no ptoblems. How do I reset IE?
Tried live chat but the when the program was doing the system check it indicated I wasn't connected to the internet, which, of course, it was.
Thanx

Please use the instructions below to reset you IE.

Hi Fog,
Please try resetting the IE and then try to update your products. If the issue does not get resolved .Uninstall only the Anti-Spam products and reinstall it. Since you are on a Dial up Connection will save a lot of time and also resolve the issue.

Hi Mk,
As you are on dial up connection, it would take some time to reinstall the programs
if the updates doesnt fix the issue; then proceed with the steps as suggested by mohan in the previous post.
Thanks,
