I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7. I started using a TV as my monitor and McAfee worked well with it. When I installed my old monitor, which McAfee worked well with and Windows XP, McAfee menu on this monitor does not show on the desktop when the icon is selected. However, the menu is pinned on the task bar, but will not expand to the desk top when I click on it. How do I fix the problem? Thank you.
This is probably too technical for us to sort out here and Technical Support is free of charge to consult by phone or online chat should you want. See Useful Links at the top of this page.
Does it work on the computer itself?
Try running the Virtual Technician to see if it finds and fixes anything: http://mvt.mcafee.com/
Also as McAfee used IE whether or not you do, make sure you have IE10 onboard and fully updated and at default settings. I trust this is Windows 7 SP1?

On another nagging question, but not one that prevents me from using McAfee:
1. I heard that the reason why the McAfee icon is again trying to place itself in the most upper left corner of the screen is due to a bug, which McAfee allowed to return. I am living with it, but rather place if where I want it.
2. On my account, I have more than one deactivated copies of my computer on the My Account list. Any simple way to remove them? I am a little bit of a clean freak.
Again, thank you for your help and the others that have read my problem.
Glad one issue is OK now. I believe there is a bug with certain builds. As I never keep a desktop icon and have not seen one reappaear by itself I can't vouch for that, support would know.
