Which McAfee suite?

I’d like to try a McAfee suite that includes the following protections:

1- Antivirus for Windows Vista 64-bit

2- Personal firewall for Windows Vista 64-bit

3- Antispam to protect 3 mailboxes configured locally in Windows Mail

4- Block Internet browsing to all websites except:
http://es.mcafee.com (for updating McAfee security suite)
http://us.mcafee.com (for updating McAfee security suite)
http://www.mcafee.com (for updating McAfee security suite)
http://www.central-backup.com (for connecting to the remote online backup servers)
http://www.windowsupdate.com (for updating Microsoft softwares)

Could anyone suggest me a McAfee security suite?

Thanks in advance!

Manu

RE: Which McAfee suite?

The current products all support Vista x64. (NOT XP x64 if anyone else reads this!)

For the email question Anti-Spam filters any Inbox (only) you have in the following clients only:

Supported Email Programs

  • POP3 – Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, Netscape, IncrediMail and Thunderbird; Japanese only: Shuriken, Becky and PostPet
  • MAPI – Outlook
  • Web – MSN/Hotmail, or email account with POP3 access

Required For Anti-Spam Toolbar Plug-In

  • Outlook Express 6.0 or later
  • Outlook 2000 or later
  • Eudora 6.0 or later
  • Thunderbird 1.0 or later
  • Anti-Spam also supports any other POP3 email client (without SSL) and Web accounts (MSN/Hotmail paid accounts and accounts with POP3 access)

Note that's MAPI not IMAP. I think Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail are also supported, but they could enlighten you there. (Don't use Anti-Spam myself but I could check for you if you wish).

For browsing restrictions then Parental Controls (formerly known as Privacy Service) covers that but only for Limited Users.

So either Internet Security Suite, or, if you want SiteAdvisor Plus rather than the regular one, Total Protection, would be what you need.

We aren't really connected with sales here so you could call them for more information.

RE: Internet Security Suite

Yes. I really need to try McAfee Internet Security Suite before buying it.

I think I won't need SiteAdvisor Plus because this computer shouldn't be used to surf the Internet. I just want the computer to connect to the offsite databanking for automatic backup routines. Also, for connecting to some few websites to update Windows and other softwares.

Thank you very much again!!
