Trojan in a Trusted Program

Hello,

I have a trusted program that I have used for over 6 years. And when the new update came about McAfee said that it had a trojan in it. I looked around the company's forums and similar people have the same problem. They said to trust the Artemis! trojan and everything will work. Moreover, they said that McAfee has not updated there database. Is this true? Should I trust the Quarantied trojan?

Thanks,
Seno3

RE: Trojan in a Trusted Program

I wouldn't delete it if you think it's a case of mistaken identity. You can only add items to a trusted list when they are labelled as a PUP (possibly unwanted programs) but not if they are quarantined as an infection.

This sticky tells you how to deal with that: http://community.mcafee.com/showthread.php?t=228162
